Manchester United star Axel Tuanzebe keen to join Aston Villa permanently
According to The Sun, Manchester United player, Axel Tuanzebe is interested in joining Aston Villa on a permanent deal. The 23-year-old is currently enjoying his loan spell at the Villa Park.
The young defender made his debut for Manchester United in a pre-season friendly against Wigan Athletic in 2016, but has failed to establish himself as a regular. The centre-back’s current contract with the Red Devils runs until 2023 with the option to extend for a year.
The youngster made his way through the Manchester United academy and has 37 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions. Tuanzebe has found it difficult to obtain regular game time at Manchester United.
Tuanzebe has started the last two matches in the Premier League for Aston Villa. It is being reported that the defender shares a cordial relationship with Villa manager Dean Smith. The 50-year-old is said to be playing a key role in the Manchester United ace wanting to play at Villa Park.
The young defender has gone on to captain United at all levels including the first team in an EFL victory over Rochdale in 2019. This is the 23-year-old’s third loan spell at Villa Park. He could relish the opportunity to play with the Midlands outfit, with the increased game time.
