Paul Pogba has praised Manchester United summer transfer target Aurelien Tchouameni
According to an interview done with RTL (h/t Metro), Manchester United ace Paul Pogba lauded his French national teammate Aurelien Tchouameni.
The 21-year-old youngster was in sublime form last season and has thus attracted a lot of attention, with clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea and Juventus eyeing a deal for the Frenchman.
In fact, the Old Trafford outfit were said to keen on signing the youngster this summer and were in contact with his representatives as the Red Devils looked to add another midfielder to their squad.
Pogba, who shares the pitch alongside Tchouameni with the French national team, has praised the midfielder, saying that the Monaco man has ‘extraordinary technical and physical quality’. The United star talked about the 21-year-old in detail to RTL (h/t Metro). He said:
“Very, very good. He’s (Tchouameni) not a boy, he’s a man. It’s a pleasure to play next to him. He brings a lot of energy. A lot of energy, extraordinary technical and physical quality. We wish him to play a lot more games and that I am always by his side.”
Tchouameni has been impressive for Monaco ever since he made the €20million (£17m) move from Bordeaux in 2020. The 21-year-old made 42 appearances across all competitions for the French side and also managed 3 goals and 4 assists in the process.

His performances did not go unrewarded as he was named Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year last season. Thus, given his age & talent, it is no surprise that the Frenchman has been on United’s radar. With several clubs interested in signing Tchouameni, it remains to be seen where his future lies at the start of next season.
