Manchester United newboy Jadon Sancho keen to take to the field alongside Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood
Speaking to the UMM Youtube channel (h/t Express), Jadon Sancho claimed that he is keen to take to the field for Manchester United alongside Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford.
The 21-year-old joined the Red Devils from Borussia Dortmund earlier in the summer. Alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane, he was one of three key additions Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made to his first XI.
Sancho, for his part, is happy to be at the club and admits the United squad has put him at ease. While playing alongside Ronaldo is certainly a dream come true, he is keener to feature alongside his international comrades.
“I’m just happy to be here and be part of the Red Devils and the team.”
“That’s going to be a crazy link up when Marcus gets back. Obviously I’ve seen a bit of Mason recently in training – he’s crazy.”
In Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford, Sancho has two players he will share the stage with not just for United but also for England. Exciting times may be ahead for both club and country as the trio promise to link up with each other.
Of the three, Rashford is currently out injured and is yet to feature this season. United’s second-highest goalscorer from last season, his return will be a massive boost to the Red Devils frontline.
Sancho appears to be optimistic about the trio’s chances of forming a formidable frontline. The more they get to know each other, the easier their link-up play will become.
“We’re still getting to know each other, obviously movements and things like that, getting our understanding, but it’s going to be crazy all three of us on the pitch.”
All three players are capable attackers in their own right. But by combining them together, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might have gotten himself a fluid front three capable of competing with the best.
