Transfer News: Manchester United still tracking Mauro Arambarri
According to transfer news from Spanish outlet AS (h/t Sports Mole), Manchester United are still tracking Getafe midfielder Mauro Arambarri over a summer move.
Arambarri has been with Getafe since 2017, having arrived from Uruguayan outfit Boston River. In his four years with the La Liga club, the 25-year-old has grown into a key component of the team, amassing nearly 150 appearances.

Arambarri is also a full Uruguayan international and has four caps for La Celeste. The Getafe midfielder had been on the radars of Manchester United earlier this year, although the trail had gone cold after some time. However, it is now being claimed that the Red Devils are still keeping tabs on the 25-year-old. (h/t Sports Mole)
The report also adds that apart from Manchester United, La Liga giants Barcelona, too, have entered the race for the signing of Arambarri. In fact, it is also stated that the Catalan bigwigs have already held talks with Getafe over the possibility of signing the midfielder on loan for the rest of the season.
Arambarri, for his part, appears keen on a move to Camp Nou, although the switch will be difficult to work out. Apart from Manchester United and Barcelona, the likes of Atletico Madrid and Sevilla are also monitoring the 25-year-old. (h/t Sports Mole)

A hard-working defensive midfielder, Arambarri would bring a lot of positive aspects to the team and could well be an option to replace Nemanja Matic in the long run at Manchester United. However, given the direction that the club is headed in, it would be prudent to move for a player like Declan Rice, who has been linked with a move as well.
