Transfer News: West Ham keen on signing Manchester United target Luka Jovic
According to transfer news from Eurosport (h/t Express), West Ham United are linked with a move for Manchester United target and Real Madrid striker, Luka Jovic.
Carlo Ancelotti does not have the 23-year-old in his plans at Santiago Bernabeu this season. And the Red Devils are believed to be in talks with the striker’s camp regarding a move to Manchester. (h/t Express)
David Moyes wants to provide Michail Antonio with some competition upfront and the Englishman does not have the best injury record as well. The report adds that ‘at least’ three other German clubs are also keen on Jovic.
Recently, the former Eintracht Frankfurt man confessed about not having spoken about Madrid’s new Italian manager about his future (h/t Express).
Jovic could join United
“I haven’t spoken with the new coach [Carlo] Ancelotti about my situation. He has started preparing and I am giving everything I can in every moment, trying to impose myself and to be best prepared as possible for the new season.”
Jovic has experience of playing in Germany, having made 72 appearances in the Bundesliga for Die Adler. His future at Madrid was thrown into question after he was loaned to Frankfurt for the second half of last season.
It indicated that he wasn’t in the club’s immediate plans. But in football, things can change very fast. So if United are interested in the dynamic 23-year-old target man, they should look to rush to the finish line.

The added pressure of West Ham potentially entering a transfer race for Jovic doesn’t help as well. And after United’s summer so far, perhaps the number 9 position is the one spot that could use some immediate strengthening right now.
