Transfer News: Manchester United reunion a possibility for PSG ace Ander Herrera
According to The Guardian (h/t Express), Ander Herrera could return to Manchester United after being transfer-listed by PSG this summer. Paris Saint-Germain have sealed a massive signing in Lionel Messi. And as a result, the Spanish midfielder is up for sale, just two years after joining them from Man United.
Herrera joined the Red Devils in 2014 and enjoyed his time at Old Trafford under Louis van Gaal and subsequently, Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. However, he left the club 5 years later with United delaying a new contract for him.

Speaking a year after sealing his exit to the French giants, the 31-year-old midfielder stated that he did not intend to leave the club. He just had minor differences with some of the decisions taken with regard to him.
Herrera to return?
“When I look back a year ago, my intention was not to leave Manchester United. I had some different opinions with the board but I respect them. I respect them a lot.”
The report mentions that United are expected to be abstemious with regards to new signings but would not be opposed to bringing in a new face if the price is right. And Herrera could be a smart little addition to the squad.

At 31, he still has a couple of years left in him and United can do with a quality central midfielder like him. But for that to happen, the Red Devils would have to formalize their interest in the former Athletic Bilbao man.
