Injury News: Manchester United star Victor Lindelof now over his back problems
Speaking to the club’s official website, Manchester United Victor Lindelof has issued an update on his back injury from last season and it is good news for the fans.
Lindelof was bogged down by a chronic back problem throughout the last season. It is a testament to his commitment that the Swede made 45 appearances across all competitions. But, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had to manage his playing time, often resting the centre-back for games where there was little rest period.
The defender had revealed in March earlier this year how he had been playing through the pain and having to manage the situation. Lindelof then went on to represent Sweden at the UEFA Euro 2020 as well.
Fortunately for Manchester United, the 27-year-old has recovered from the back injury and is ready and raring to go for the new season.
“I feel much better now. I’ve been working very hard on my back especially during the break. I struggled a lot with it last season and had to really play through it.
“I played a game and then would need to rest for a couple of days and then it was straight into another game. That was tough, but like I say I’ve been working very hard with different types of exercises and treatment, and I feel much better.”

It is certainly positive news for Manchester United, having Lindelof back and injury-free. The 27-year-old will have to compete for a starting berth with new arrival Raphael Varane, who should complete his transfer imminently. Nonetheless, given that the Red Devils will be competing on four fronts, there should be game-time for everyone.
