Transfer News: Manchester United ready to offload Daniel James

According to transfer news from SportsLens, Manchester United are willing to listen to offers for Daniel James. After the signing of Jadon Sancho, United are ready to offload the speedy winger as he has been deemed surplus to requirements at the club.

The Welshman has not had the best of times over the last two seasons at United. He has performed well in patches but has not been able to nail down a starting berth. Now with Sancho’s arrival at United, James could find his game time further reduced.

DANIEL JAMES, Galles, UEFA EURO, EM, Europameisterschaft,Fussball 2020, Italy vs Wales 1-0, Roma EURO 2020 ITALIA-GALLES 1-0.

James does look in good touch after what fans saw in the Euros, where he was in action for Wales. He also returned to action for United in the draw over Brentford but took time to get used to the pace of the game. It was to be expected as he returned from a long holiday after the Euros.

Now, James’ future has been called into question. United are spending on incoming transfers but if they are to continue, they will have to sell fringe players. James’ name has landed on the chopping block and he could be sold to Leeds United who have shown interest.

It is unlikely that James would displace any of the established starters any time soon. However, sitting on the benches for prolonged periods of time is also not helping him as well as United. Given that Solskjaer has a host of players to play on the wings, it would seem the logical option for United to let go of James.
