Transfer News: Manchester United an option for Vinicius Jr
According to transfer news from Mirror, Manchester United is still an option for Vinicius Jr to move to. The player is among the four non-EU players at Real Madrid but they can keep only three. United’s earlier interest in the Brazilian means that they are still an option for him.
Manchester United have already done some business with Real Madrid this summer. A deal was agreed in principle to sign Raphael Varane for €41million. However, it would seem both clubs could yet sit on the negotiation table again.
With the rules of Brexit affecting players as well, Gareth Bale is now a non-EU player for Real. That takes the tally to four players while they can have only three. Vinicius Jr is now being seen as the expendable asset of the four and could be offloaded to United, who had shown interest in the player earlier.
While Vinicius is keen to remain at the club, moving to United is seen as the second-best option for him. Even though there is a possibility of a move, United will need to sell players before they can make any further signings.

In no way does this transfer make sense. United have a plethora of wide players on the side, some of which can’t even get games. Add to that Vinicius’ finishing abilities and you have a disaster waiting to happen. United should just conclude their business with Real after the signing of Varane and avoid any deal for Vinicius.
