New Manchester United signing Raphael Varane bids farewell to Real Madrid
Manchester United new boy Raphael Varane bid his farewell to Real Madrid with a visit and social media message (h/t ESPN). The French defender visited his soon-to-be former mates at Real Madrid’s training session as well as club president Florentino Perez. He also posted a classy message of farewell to the club he spent the last decade at.
United got their target on a cut-price deal. The deal will cost United £34m plus £8m in add-ons.
The price is on the lower side because the player was in the last year of his contract and United capitalised on the same. Varane has agreed to a four-year deal with United, with the option of another year.
Nonetheless, Varane posted a classy message for his Madrid mates on social media. His respect for Real Madrid was understood when he visited Real Madrid’s training to say his farewell in person. He met up with his teammates as well as Florentino Perez.
