Transfer News: Manchester United complete the signing of Ethan Ennis
According to transfer news from The Sun, Manchester United have completed the signing of Ethan Ennis. The 16-year-old represents a huge coup for United from the hands of arch-rivals Liverpool. He rejected a new contract at Liverpool and signed for United.
Despite being 16, he is one of the highly-rated youngsters in Liverpool’s U-18 team. He was a part of the Reds’ U-18 side that reached the FA Youth Cup final but were beaten by Aston Villa. He plays in midfield and also featured for Marc-Bridge Wilkinson’s side on several occasions in the U-18 Premier League.

United’s academy isn’t alien to producing top quality talents. While the Class of ’92 is well known, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side itself has two of the brightest English prospects in Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford.
The addition of Ennis is a significant one in the sense that he is a direct capture from our rivals Liverpool. He did not renew his deal with Liverpool and Manchester United were quick to get him (h/t The Sun). Ennis was also unveiled at Old Trafford holding a jersey. Nonetheless, Liverpool will still ask for a developmental fee for the youngster after losing him for free.
