Manchester United team news vs Brentford
Manchester United will take on Brentford in what will be their third friendly of the pre-season. So far, United have won against Derby County and lost the previous one against QPR. Brentford are likely to be an interesting challenge given they have been promoted to the Premier League this season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer provided team news as Manchester United gear up to take on Brentford. This week saw several first-team stars return from holidays and injuries, as more and more players will do so over the next week or so.
Donny van de Beek and Diogo Dalot participated in training from Monday onwards and will take on a bench role for the game. Tuesday saw the returns of Bruno Fernandes and Dean Henderson but they are unlikely to play any part in the game on Wednesday.
A certain Scott McTominay could be pushing for a start though but Alex Telles remains out through injury sustained over the weekend. Solskjaer gave an update on the returning stars.
“We’re adding more and more players now of course. Dean is back in training which is good for us, he won’t be ready for the Brentford game. Diogo and Donny have trained and they’re ready to play a part in the game, I would think they’ll be subs. Bruno is back in training. He’s not ready to join the Brentford game yet, but he’s not too far.”
