Marcus Rashford set for crunch talks with Manchester United over shoulder injury
According to Metro, Manchester United and Marcus Rashford are set for serious talks over his shoulder injury. Rashford will meet with Solskjaer and decide on what to do as United are not keen for the player to get surgery as it would rule him out for three months.
Marcus Rashford looked a pale shadow of himself by the time the campaign ended. His injury problem on the shoulder has been nagging him since November last year. It was only through some good communication and management that Solskjaer could use him through the entire season.
He was often hooked off from games close to the hour mark or given a cameo in some games to ease the workload. However, it was clear by the end of the season that he had to go ahead with the surgery. He had to keep managing his injury like that through painkillers and inhibited movement.
The 23-year-old underwent a scan to reveal a muscle tear on his shoulder. While it will not aggravate further, Rashford feels that surgery will be necessary to get rid of the problem. That would also rule him out until October at least, which United are not keen on. That is why the player will discuss it with Solskjaer ahead of his return to the squad.

The discussion is said to be an important one as the best possible option is figured out. It may not be the best option for United right now but they cannot afford to keep Rashford in this state. It will become a problem in the long run. It’s better to get the surgery done at the start of the season so that he will be fit by the time the season reaches the crucial stages.
