Transfer News: Manchester United have four-man shortlist to replace Pogba
According to transfer news from Express, Manchester United have kept Jack Grealish, Saul Niguez, Declan Rice and Eduardo Camavinga on their shortlist to replace Paul Pogba. The World Cup winner could be on his way out as PSG are flirting with a move for him. United have kept a few midfielders on their mind in case he were to do so.
Nine years down the line, Manchester United are in a very familiar position with Pogba. In 2012, United lost him to Juventus for free, receiving a paltry compensation fee. They spent a record fee to get him back in 2016 but face the prospect of losing him again for free next season. PSG are trying their best to get Pogba to join as pressure mounts on United to sell.
While any sort of move is still a long way off, United have kept four names as a part of their contingency plans. Jack Grealish is admired by United, but there could be a chance that he heads to Manchester City instead. Another name from the Premier League the Red Devils have kept eyes on is Declan Rice but he isn’t exactly a like-for-like replacement.
Perhaps somewhat similar to Pogba is Eduardo Camavinga, hence it was no surprise to see the strong interest from United. Both players share similar traits but Camavinga likes to play a more withdrawn role. Lastly, there is Saul Niguez who appears to be heading out of Atletico Madrid and United are one of the clubs after him.

It is actually hard to say what will happen with Pogba but an exit looks likelier with each passing day. He will have no shortage of suitors that’s for sure. In that case, United will need to get it right with the replacement and any of the four names can be the right fit.
