Transfer News: Manchester United star Andreas Pereira wants a return to Lazio

According to transfer news from SportWitness, Manchester United ace Andreas Pereira has expressed his desire to move back to Lazio. He spent the whole of last season at the Rome based club but his performances were nothing to write home about. However, Pereira feels that he has unfinished business there.

Having joined from PSV Eindhoven in 2014, Pereira failed to build upon the initial promise he showed at the club. He also had loan spells to Granada and Valencia where he showed some encouraging form. But that too faded as he returned to United and failed to kick on.

Pereira has since returned to United and was also a part of the preseason game against Derby County. However, he has expressed that he would like to return to Rome and prove himself at Lazio.

“I know I could do even better if I was given more space. Even the fans agree, they wrote me about it on social networks. At Lazio I have always given my best in the time I was granted. I think my performance could be better if I had more minutes and more freedom to play.

“When you come in at the end of the game, the task you have to do tactically is not the best . I’d like to go back to the Biancoceleste if I was given more time. Rome could be my definitive home, I had a great time.”

At this point, there does not seem to be room for Pereira at United. Or to be clearer, he is not really at the quality United are operating on. The club would do well to sanction a sale to Lazio and fulfil Pereira’s wish to return to Italy.
