Transfer News: Roma and Inter Milan to battle over Alex Telles
According to transfer news from SportWitness, Roma and Inter Milan are set to battle over the signing of Alex Telles. Both clubs are exploring a loan deal for the 28-year-old Manchester United defender. United for their part are looking at a permanent deal and could rebuff any loan offers.
There was a lot of excitement when United brought in Telles last season. After all, he seemed like a better attacking threat than the options already at the club. However, little did Telles or anyone else know that Luke Shaw would take this as a challenge and improve his game to such an extent.
The Brazilian found himself warming the benches more often than he would have liked as Shaw had one of his best-ever seasons. It was only when Shaw was rested or unavailable that Telles managed to get a rare game.
Now, two Serie A giants are set to go head to head for Telles. AS Roma are keen to find cover for the injured Leonardo Spinazzola. A loan deal for Telles has been proposed but United want a to-buy option. Inter Milan are also keen on the high-flying Brazilian as they look for an experienced option at a low cost.

It would be an error if Telles is allowed to leave just after a solitary season at the club. The former Porto man is a decent player to have in hand given there are a large number of games to play in a season. United would do well to reject any such offers from or Roma.
