Diogo Dalot future depends on Manchester United move for Kieran Trippier
According to transfer news from Mirror, Diogo Dalot will leave Manchester United if Kieran Trippier arrives. It looks clear that Manchester United are waiting on Kieran Trippier as they have kept AC Milan on standby for Dalot.
The 22-year-old Portuguese full-back spent the 2020/21 campaign on loan at the San Siro, playing a part in Milan’s qualification for the UEFA Champions League. While he may not have been an automatic first-choice, he made 33 appearances for the Rossoneri, scoring twice and providing three assists.
Now, Dalot is scheduled to return to United after his holidays post the Euros. AC Milan have shown considerable interest in bringing back the youngster. But reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed that United are yet to offer a response to Milan, who have proposed a loan-to-buy option.
This is because United are moving after Kieran Trippier. The 30-year-old Atletico Madrid defender is a name Solskjaer wants and the player wants a return to the Premier League. United are basically waiting to see if they can sign Trippier, after which they can take a call on Dalot.

Dalot does not seem to be in the plans of Solskjaer despite having one of his better seasons. Provided United get Trippier, it’s likely they would let go of Dalot to AC Milan. A loan-to-buy deal works in that case, with United getting some cash in the future.
