Transfer News: Manchester United keeping an eye on Nicolo Barella
According to transfer news from SportWitness, Manchester United are keeping tabs on Nicolo Barella. While Liverpool are understood to be frontrunners for the Euro 2020 winner with a €70m offer, United have also kept Barella’s name in mind.
There were a lot of players who impressed for Italy during their journey towards lifting the Euros. Players like Federico Chiesa, Jorginho and Leonardo Spinazzola showed considerable ability in pushing the side ahead. Among those names is Nicolo Barella.
While he may not have lit the tournament on fire, he reminded everyone that he is a talented young midfielder. His goal against Belgium was a thing of beauty. The Italian headed into the tournament in good touch after having helped Inter Milan in lifting the Serie A.
Hence, it was not much of a surprise to see Liverpool looking to offer a sizable €70m for him. While United have made no such offer, they are still keeping tabs on him and might go after him in case Paul Pogba decides to call time on his stay at the club.
