Injury News: Marcus Rashford could be ruled out for three months after surgery
According to injury news from Irish Independent, Marcus Rashford could be set for three months on the sidelines after surgery. The forward has taken the decision to go through with the surgery after a long-standing shoulder injury. It would very likely rule him out for the start of Manchester United’s season.
Rashford’s campaign is now officially over after the Euros. However, his injury problem on the shoulder has been nagging him since November last year. It was only through some good communication and management that Solskjaer could use him through the entire season.
He was often hooked off from games close to the hour mark or given a cameo in some games to ease his workload. However, it was clear by the end of the season that he had to go ahead with the surgery. He had to keep managing his injury like that through painkillers and inhibited movement.
The 23-year-old underwent a scan to reveal a muscle tear on his shoulder. While it will not aggravate further, Rashford feels that surgery will be necessary to get rid of the problem. Provided the surgery goes through at the end of the month, Solskjaer will be without his star man for at least 3 months. Rashford could miss the first eight league games along with three in the Champions League.
