Manchester United fans react as Borussia Dortmund accept bid for Jadon Sancho

It has been a deal more than a year in the making but it appears that Manchester United have finally landed themselves Jadon Sancho.

Both United and Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement on a deal that will cost the former €90m with add ons. The player will pen a contract until 2026 with an option to extend it by another year.

As things stand, the deal will be made official once Sancho completes his medical. Currently, with the England team at the Euros, it would be fair to assume that it could take place after the tournament.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the paperwork has already been prepared as the deal draws to a close. One of the finest young players in the world, Sancho is a coup for United who have long desired a dynamic addition at right-wing.

Having come so close to a trophy last season, the Red Devils have now added a massive weapon in their arsenal ahead of the new campaign. Hopefully, Sancho will kick on and develop into a world-beater at Old Trafford.

Manchester City too will benefit from the deal. The Sky Blues will receive €13m as part of a sell-on clause that was added during the player’s transfer to Dortmund.

We now take a look at how fans reacted to the news on Twitter. Given how patient they have been, it is fair to say that it was nothing short of ecstasy.
