Manchester United star Jesse Lingard urged to remain at West Ham
According to The Sun, Trevor Sinclair has urged Manchester United star, Jesse Lingard, to stay back at West Ham. The former West Ham winger wants Lingard to turn his loan deal into a permanent transfer and stay at West Ham where he is appreciated.
After falling down the pecking order at Man United, Lingard sought a way out of the club. He moved across to London on loan to West Ham. Even the most ardent fans would not have expected the impact he had at the club in just five months.

The 28-year-old enjoyed an excellent loan spell with the London side last season. He averaged close to a goal contribution per game and took them to the verge of Champions League qualification. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Sinclair has urged Lingard to stay at West Ham
With the season now over, Lingard is set to return to United. However, his prospects don’t look that great much like last season. Due to the same, former West Ham ace Trevor Sinclair has urged the midfielder to consider a permanent move to the club.

“Can I just say, Jesse Lingard, get to the capital of England rather than the capital of France. You are loved at West Ham. Get yourself there, boy.”

The Englishman’s contract expires in 2022 and it remains to be seen what United decide to do with him this summer. Despite missing out on the Euros, his stock remains high and we could fetch a reasonable fee for him this summer. United could do with some cash in-flow from a player who isn’t much of a necessity.
