Manchester United fans react as Victor Lindelof stars against Spain
Victor Lindelof is a defender who usually divides opinion amongst Manchester United fans. The Swedish international is however a different player when he dons the colours of his national team.
On the occasion of his four-year anniversary at United, the 26-year-old put in a starring role in Sweden’s 0-0 draw with Spain in their European Championship opener.
Playing at the heart of a deep-lying back four, Lindelof was very reliable when called upon. There was little one could fault in a performance that saw him win the man of the match award.
Often seen as Harry Maguire’s less reliable partner, the game against Spain was an excellent showing off just what Lindelof can do if utilized correctly.
United are in need of a new centre-back this summer. It remains to be seen if Lindelof’s performances give them reasons to be confident.

Yeah, Olsen could have gotten it too, but maybe for once, don’t nitpick and just enjoy the fact that a player from the club you support had a good game..
Lindelof MOTM. Amazing how much better players become when they step away from Ole. 12 of those he labelled deadwood have gone on to win trophies since they left him. The ones he kept and bought for £400m can’t even beat Spanish Burnley. Or start for their national teams.
