According to the club’s official site, Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has withdrawn from the England squad at the European Championship.

The 24-year-old’s departure has been forced upon him thanks to a hip injury. The United ace was not on the bench for England’s 1-0 win over Croatia in the Group D opener but that was initially said to be as a precaution.

The player was forced to train alone on Monday thanks to his injury. It decided that his involvement would be limited and that the best course of action is to return to United for assessment and rehabilitation.

Harry Maguire continues to recover from his injury while Luke Shaw is also nursing a wrist injury.
