Transfer News: Paul Pogba refuses to rule out Manchester United exit

According to The Express, French international Paul Pogba has refused to rule out an exit from Manchester United this summer amidst interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

The 28-year-old who is currently away with the French squad for the Euros faces a pivotal summer. He has just a year to go on his United contract and could potentially leave on a free next year.

The Red Devils are aware of the dangers of Pogba running down his contract and are keen to avoid it. If no extension can be agreed upon, United are better off cashing in on the midfielder this summer.

Has Pogba played his last game for United?

Speaking on the issue, Pogba has bow revealed that there has been no concrete extension offers from United on the table. Given the severity of the situation, it is perhaps a surprising admission that does not show the club in good light.

“There have been no concrete proposals for extensions. I’m still in Manchester.”

Pogba also went on to rubbish the rumours of him being in talks with Paris Saint-Germain. According to the report, while he may have denied personal involvement, it does not categorically eliminate the chances of the French giants holding talks with his representatives.

“Contacts with Paris? I have an agent that deals with all that,” Pogba said. “I don’t have Nasser [Al-Khelaifi]’s number.”

Paul Pogba is a different beast for France

First things first!

For now, it would appear that the player’s focus is on winning the Euros with France. Pogba may have struggled for consistency with United but is often in top form when playing for Les Bleus.

A strong finish to the tournament will help enhance his image and perhaps boost United’s chances of selling him this summer. After all, it will be a sobering day if we have to see him run down his deal and leave on a free transfer next summer.

Raiola and United arent the best of friends

More Manchester United News

Superagent Mino Raiola doesn’t really have the best relationship with United, adding another layer to our negotiations for Pogba. Raiola has shown this summer that he is not against having his clients run down their deals, as seen with Gianluigi Donnarumma.

That will hopefully wake United up and see them take the necessary measures to ensure they don’t end up at the wrong end of the deal.
