“Will be even better” – Man United star keen to stay put despite limited chances

Alex Telles keen to stay put at Manchester United this summer

According to the club’s official website (h/t The Mirror), Manchester United star Alex Telles is keen to stay put at the club this summer.

The Brazilian international joined the club on deadline day last summer and has since given us proper cover at left-back. His arrival has also seen Luke Shaw step up his game and emerge as the first choice in the spot.

Despite limited opportunities, Telles appears to have enjoyed his debut season at Old Trafford. He remains optimistic going into the 2021/22 season.

“I’m really happy with my first season at United and I’m sure that next season will be even better.”

Telles for his part has not done much wrong when given an opportunity. He has largely impressed with his delivery and has given us another outlet while going forward.

Playing in England for the first time, Telles has done well to adapt to his new surroundings. He admits to having the manager’s trust and has done his best on the field.

“I had good games, with the adaptation process the first season isn’t easy, but I believe that when Ole gave me the opportunity and placed his trust in me and put me on the pitch, I did my best.”

The Brazilian is confident of improving next season and getting more minutes on the pitch. Competition is always a good thing and will help elevate the performances of all around him.

“I’m sure that I’ll continue doing even better to spend more time on the pitch and get a lot more minutes.”
