It was never in doubt and according to the club’s official site, Edinson Cavani has won the Manchester United Goal of the Month award for May for his wonder strike against Fulham.

The Uruguayan veteran welcomed fans back to Old Trafford with a long-distance strike that caught Fulham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola flat-footed. It was the coup de grace from the striker in what has been an exciting first season in the Premier League.

At 35.2 metres out, it is the longest distance from which a goal was scored in the Premier League this season. While some may argue it to be offside, nobody can take anything away from the finish.
