Jadon Sancho keen to move to Manchester United prior to the Euros
According to German publication Sport Bild (h/t The Metro), Jadon Sancho is keen to complete his move to Manchester United before next month’s European Championships.
The 21-year-old is coming off a fine season that saw him finish strongly. Sancho led from the front as Dortmund brushed off a poor start to the season to finish in the top four and also win the DFB Pokal.
Dortmund for their part are ready to sell the player for £82million. This is a far cry from the £108m, they demanded a year ago.
While Dortmund are preparing for life without the player after the Euros, Sancho thinks otherwise. The Englishman wants to travel to the competition with his future settled.
The English winger has enjoyed a fine four-year spell with Dortmund since moving from Manchester City in 2017. He has a gentleman’s agreement to depart the club this season and appears to be keen to exercise it.
Premier League rivals Chelsea are also in the fray for Sancho. Their manager Thomas Tuchel is a fan of the player and is keen to take him to Stamford Bridge.
Sancho has scored 16 goals and created 21 assists in 38 matches in all competitions this season. His form has picked up after a slow start and he looks to be back at his best. He was named in the provisional England squad for this summer’s Euros.
The 21-year-old remains Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s top target this summer and the club is keen to land him.
