Lingard also won the Premier League goal of the month award for his strike against Wolverhampton Wanderers. We had predicted he would be in contention at the time and are glad to be proven right regarding the same.

The 28-year-old received the ball in his own half and quickly set off on a counter-attack, running directly at the Wolves defence. It culminated in an unstoppable strike past Rui Patricio that gave Hammers the lead.
