Manchester United can sign Jadon Sancho for around £75m this summer
According to The Metro, Manchester United have been handed a massive advantage in their pursuit of Jadon Sancho.
The 21-year-old has been Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s priority attacking target for 18 months now. Despite being after him for all the whole of last summer, the Red Devils ultimately had to back out given Borussia Dortmund’s asking price.
Daniel James is the club’s only specialist right-winger but has failed to cement his spot in the starting line-up. It is imperative that we bring in a dominant player to supplement our attack.
While Dortmund was keen to rake in at least £100m last summer. However, they have softened their stand and will lake a lower price this time around.
If all goes well, United could land their man for around £74-78m. Sancho isn’t just one of the best young players in Europe but is also someone who has good top-level experience. He has so far made 12 goals and 18 assists in just 34 games for the Bundesliga side this season. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc admitted last week that the Germans are willing to sell Sancho if the right offer comes in.
Untied could however have to face off against Liverpool in the race for Sancho. The Merseysiders have kept tabs on the 21-year-old and view him as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah.
