Transfer News: Paul Pogba, Eden Hazard swap hinted by Mino Raiola
According to transfer news from Metro, Mino Raiola has hinted about a potential swap deal between Paul Pogba and Eden Hazard. The super-agent opened up on Paul Pogba’s future at United and threw in the name of Hazard at one point.
Pogba looks a whole different player in recent months and his contributions have been vital as well.
The midfielder looks liberated in a new role and clearly, his absence was felt during February when United lost ground in the title race. His future, however, has been a subject of debate, with his current deal ending in 2022.
Hazard lit up Stamford Bridge during his 7-year stay at the club since he joined from Lille in 2012. And he got his dream move to Real Madrid in the summer of 2019 for an eye-watering £89m.
But that has not worked out for him so far. The Belgian winger was troubled by a serious ankle injury in his first season and fitness issues have continued to haunt him this campaign as well.
As the summer transfer window approaches, Pogba’s future becomes a huge talking point. After all, Real Madrid are known to be huge admirers of the Frenchman and tried to sign him on previous occasions. Raiola spoke about his client’s future and also teased a possible swap deal when asked if Pogba will move to Madrid next season.
‘I do not know. I think that nothing is impossible, but football depends on the day. As it is. ‘And you have to be flexible to think of all the possibilities. And if tomorrow Madrid wants to make a Hazard-Pogba change? It is just an example. And if all four parties like it, why not?’

While this would have been a tempting prospect a few seasons ago, Pogba is much more of a valuable asset to United than Hazard is to Chelsea. The Frenchman is tearing it up on the pitch in recent weeks while Hazard has struggled to find minutes. United have to make sure Pogba’s future lies with them and not at Madrid.
