Manchester United to offer Paul Pogba an impressive £400,000-a-week in wages

According to the Mirror, Manchester United are set to offer Paul Pogba a lucrative new deal in order to keep him at Old Trafford.

The 28-year-old is one of the best players in the world on his day. The club’s record signing, his contract at Old Trafford expires in 2022.

Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola created a storm last December when he claimed that the player is looking for a way out of the club. With his contract running out, United find themselves in a spot of bother.

The player, for his part, is happy at United and has emerged as a key player for us since the turn of the year. It is fair to say that he is as happy as he has ever been in the red jersey.

United will open talks with the 28-year-old regarding a lucrative £400,000-a-week deal later this month. Accepting the terms will see him overtake David De Gea as the highest-paid player at the club.

The Red Devils, however, do not plan to let the issue drag on. If they do fail to reach an agreement with the player, he will be moved on in the summer. It remains to be seen what his agent Mino Raiola demands.

The Red Devils are in a race against time to convince Pogba to stay. They are keen for negotiations to take place before he represents France at this summer’s European Championships.

A player once disillusioned with the direction United were taking, Pogba appears to have renewed faith in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s leadership.  He is finally living up to his reputation and hopefully, his best in a red jersey is yet to come.
