Transfer News: Tammy Abraham tipped to join Manchester United
According to transfer news from Express, Simon Jordan has tipped Tammy Abraham to join Manchester United. The former Crystal Palace owner feels that Europe’s elite sides like United and Barcelona should look to sign the Chelsea outcast.
Tammy Abraham came off the bench in the dying minutes of the West Ham clash and it showed how far the academy graduate had fallen down the pecking order.
It has become an all too familiar sight to see the academy graduate on the bench in recent weeks. It was his first appearance on the pitch in 2 months. However, he would not even get those few minutes against Real Madrid.
Abraham broke into the first-team last season under Frank Lampard and was a vital part of the side that finished fourth. However, the England international has slipped down the order after the arrival of Thomas Tuchel and Timo Werner.
The likes of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz have been preferred ahead of the academy graduate.
Now it has been reported that the Blues are willing to let go of the striker if they receive a bid of £40m. Jordan named United as one of the possible destinations Abraham could head to.
“Whether it’s a club like Barcelona, because I can see him going somewhere like that, or a club in Italy, or one of the top six in this country. I think this boy can play in a Man United side.
I think he’s a really good player, I’m surprised he’s not featuring, but I can also see the way Chelsea are setting up that he doesn’t and won’t give them what they want in that particular set-up.”

While United have signed Chelsea players in the past with the likes of Mata and Matic crossing the divide, it looks unlikely that Chelsea would want to sell a player like Abraham to United. Tammy at United would have been an interesting prospect given how he has shown that he can lead the line.
