Manchester United U-23s were in action last night against their Chelsea counterparts. It turned out to be a goal-fest as the Red Devils went on to thump their opponents 4-2. However, it wasn’t without its share of drama as the young guns emulated their seniors in coming back from losing positions.

United were down early in the game as Brandon Williams, unfortunately, poked the ball into his own net. However, Chelsea were dealt a blow with their keeper being sent off. Shola Shoretire took it on himself to give Manchester United the equaliser as well as another ahead of half-time.

However, it was a certain Amad Diallo who put the game out of reach for Chelsea with a sublime free-kick. Manchester United are never short of drama on the pitch, and the same reflected when our young guns took the pitch against Chelsea U-23.

It is indeed great that Shoretire and Diallo were on the scoresheet, which only substantiates the club’s decision to splash the cash on these talented young rising stars.

Several Manchester United fans went gaga over Amad Diallo on Twitter, in awe of the goal.
