Manchester United News: Noah Solskjaer responds to Jose Mourinho following his snarky comments against Ole

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Jose Mourinho had a running feud in the lead-up the crunch clash between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.

The game lived up to expectations and certainly had its share of controversial moments. Both managers also continued to trade potshots after full-time in a feud that appears to be far from over.

A major point of contention was the role Son Heung-Min played in having Edinson Cavani’s first-half opener disallowed. Solskjaer stroked flames by claiming that Son Heung-Min would have gone hungry for his action had he been his son.

Mourinho, quick to pounce on any opportunity, did so and claimed Son’s father was a better person than Ole and expressed disappointment in the United boss’s responsibility as a father.

While the post match comments did take a weird turn, one man who was amused was Solskjaer’s son, Noah.

According to local newspaper Tidens Krav via Dagbladet, Noah found the exchange hilarious and laughed off Mourinho’s comments regarding Ole as a father. He went on to admit that he always receives food and there is no need for any concern.

“Yes, I laughed well on Sunday. I always get food. I can assure everyone about that.”

The 20-year-old who plays for Kristiansund BK in Norway, was prepared for questions directed to him the next day in training.

He also went on to admit that he would never do what Son did and that Mourinho was doing his best to take away focus from his side’s humbling defeat.

“Yes, Max [Williamsen] asked me if I had been given food when he met me before training today. I had never been lying down the way Son did. Mourinho probably just wanted to take the focus away from the fact that they had lost.”

While we admit that Solskjaer could have worded his argument better, one can always count on Mourinho to blow something out of proportion. The Spurs boss’ frustration is understandable given their abject performance on the night. But then, as they say, winners walk while losers…talk.
