Transfer News: Manchester United have added Ruben Neves to their wishlist

According to transfer news from Express, Manchester United could move for Ruben Neves at the start of next season. The Red Devils have added the Wolves star to their transfer wishlist for the summer and a move could just take place.

Neves has been a regular starter in the Wolves side since moving from Porto following a £15million move back in 2017. Since then, the 23-year-old has played a total of 170 matches for them across all competitions and has scored 20 goals and provided 10 assists, proving his significance in the current squad.

Manchester United are looking at a squad revamp next summer with several potential targets already being identified. In attack, they have zeroed in on Erling Haaland to solve their striker issues. Jadon Sancho remains a long-term target too.

In defence, there have been talks about Raphael Varane and Jules Kounde as the club is still trying to find the ideal partner for Harry Maguire. It has now been said that midfield is another area that they wish to add to with Neves being one of the names they want (h/t Express). Declan Rice is the other one.

More Manchester United News:

Neves would no doubt be a good addition to the side with his defensive prowess from midfield and the knack for scoring some scorchers from far out.

He represents a replacement for Matic, who is seemingly running on his last legs. With so many targets lined up, it will be interesting to see who United end up signing.
