Fans react as Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes lead Manchester United past Granada
Manchester United have Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes to thank as they returned from Spain with a 2-0 lead following their Europa League quarter-final first-leg win over Granada.
Facing off against a team embarking on their first European adventure, the Red Devils were solid but unspectacular. However what matters is that they got the job done ahead of the return leg next week.
Once again it was Rashford, who was nursing an injury who got United on the scoresheet in the first half. The 23-year-old’s strike could be priceless given the grand scheme of things.
The game more or less remained the same until the 90th minute when Bruno Fernandes won himself a penalty. The midfielder coolly dispatched the spotkick to give the Red Devils an overwhelming advantage.
It was an impressive performance from the team who will look to go one better than their semifinal exit last season. With one foot already in the last four, the onus is now on them to get the job done at Old Trafford.
The return leg will be played on 15 April.

At this stage of the season we need results not entertaining football..

Happy with the result but we gotta do better performance wise, too slow. Ole needs to stop playing safe. Get donny on the pitch more

Good one, lads. Especially after the awful officiating from the ref.

Onto the next game. We move. ❤️😁
Glad for winning but we have to play better. This isn’t good enough.

We take it. It’s business end of the season and with injuries and taking into consideration how many games we’ve played just in ‘21, it’s all about results.

Professional performance. Half way to the next round.
Great to see Bruno getting his goal. Was a bit dodgy but all that matters is that it went in👏

We can certainly play better. Good job. Rashford is still our best attacking player. We are almost dimensionless without him.
