Solskjaer provides the latest Manchester United team news for the game vs Granada

According to the club’s official website, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided the latest team news for the game between Manchester United and Granada.

The Red Devils take on the La Liga side in their Europa League first leg fixture on Thursday. The competition represents the club’s best chance of winning silverware this season.

In a boost for the Red Devils, Marcus Rashford has been included in the travelling squad. The 23-year-old was taken off against Brighton at the weekend after picking up a knock.

Solskjaer has admitted that a final decision on him would be taken tomorrow. Given his troubles so far, the safer bet would be for him to come off the bench. After all, he showed against RB Leipzig that he does not need the whole 90 minutes to make a difference.

“Marcus is travelling and we have to make a decision tomorrow if he starts or is on the bench. I don’t think he’ll play the 90 minutes.”

The United boss also confirmed the return of both Juan Mata and Alex Telles. The Red Devils have not taken any casualties against Brighton and will have options going into the next game.

Solskjaer also confirmed that he is in touch with Eric Bailly, who recently tested positive for COVID-19. He has refused to put a time frame on the defender’s return but revealed that the player is okay.

“He needs a negative test before he can come back to us. It’ll take the time that it takes unfortunately. That’s the world we live in at the moment and we’ve got to take the precautionary measures. Hopefully, Eric is still feeling okay The last time I spoke to him, he was alright.”

With the games coming thick and fast, United need all the players at their disposal ready and raring to go. Hopefully, Bailly will be ready to rejoin his teammates as we look to end the season with a trophy.
