Manchester United youngster Connor Stanley joins MLS side Atalanta United on loan
According to Manchester Evening News, 19-year-old Manchester United starlet Connor Stanley has joined MLS side Atalanta United on loan for the 2021 season.
It is good news for the young winger, whose contract at Old Trafford is up in the summer. The Red Devils for their part were not keen to extend his stay any further.
Rather than go into the Atalanta first-team, Stanley will instead spend time with their second team.
The player has been at United for almost three years now. He featured 11 times for the U-18s in his first season. In his second year, Stanley made seven appearances and provided three assists.
He eventually made the jump to the U-23s this season, where he made three appearances in the Premier League 2. While there has been progress, it does not seem to be enough for him to make the cut at United.
The player took to Instagram and penned a goodbye message of sorts. A new chapter is now set to begin in his career and let’s hope he succeeds in his endeavours.

Unfortunately, not every youngster will make it at a club such as United. But this does not mean they have reached the end of their road.
At 19, Stanley still can make it elsewhere and we hope he does. Other players set to be released are Paul Woolston, Arnau Puigmal and Max Taylor.
