Manchester United star Alex Telles drops transfer hint
According to The Daily Star, Manchester United star Alex Telles has dropped a hint regarding his future at the club.
The Brazilian international joined United from Porto last summer. Although he has done well, he remains behind the rejuvenated Luke Shaw in the Red Devils pecking order.
Shaw has gone through a renaissance of sorts and is enjoying his best season in a Red jersey. This has limited him to just 18 games for United, where he has three assists to his name. (h/t Transfermarkt)
According to reports from Portugal (h/t Daily Star), Telles could very well be on his way back to the Primeira Liga. He has been touted as a makeweight in a deal that would bring Nuno Mendes to United from Sporting Lisbon.
However, Telles has taken to social media to rubbish these speculations. A former Porto star, he is well aware of the Portuguese giants’ rivalry with Sporting.
He wished his former Porto teammate a happy birthday before going on to apparently pledge his loyalty to the Dragons.
“Once a Dragon, always a Dragon.”
The Red Devils continue to be linked with Sporting wonderkid Mendes. However, it would appear we will have to look elsewhere if we are keen to add a makeweight in any deal.

Having played in front of empty crowds, Telles is yet to experience the support of the Old Trafford faithful. He is in no mood to call it quits yet and is keen to stick around and experience the same.
With that unlikely to happen this season, Telles looks set to stay on at the Theatre of Dreams.
