Jadon Sancho expected to push for PL move as Man United continue to be linked

Jadon Sancho expected to push for EPL return amidst interest from Manchester United

According to Eurosport, Manchester United target Jadon Sancho is expected to make a push to move to England in the summer transfer window.

The English international was a subject of intense interest from United last summer. However, it came to nothing and he stayed put at Borussia Dortmund.

Despite there being hopes of him pushing for a move, United are willing to take a backseat and tread with care. The Red Devils are still waiting to discover Dortmund’s current valuation of the player and will not pay anything close to £100million.

Goncalves is seen as an alternative for Jadon Sancho

United believe a valuation of about £50-60m is a realistic figure in the current climate. According to the report, they will soon know what Dortmund’s mood is regarding the same.

Despite missing out on the 21-year-old last summer, United do not harbour any regrets. The demands made by the player’s representatives do hint at United having dodged a bullet.

Dortmund meanwhile have their hands full trying to also hold onto Erling Haaland, another player on United’s radar.

United might have the cash to complete just one ‘marquee signing’ this summer. A prospect made all the more daunting given that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to add a striker, a holding midfielder, and a centre-back. (h/t Express)

It is fair to say that United may have to pick and choose which aspect of the squad they want to improve in the coming window.
