Transfer News: Manchester United have three names shortlisted for the summer
According to transfer news from Express, Manchester United have a three-man shortlist of players they want next season. Ed Woodward is keen to back Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the transfer market this summer.
It has been a rollercoaster of a campaign for Manchester United with surprising highs and frustrating lows. The Red Devils started in disastrous fashion with losses in the Premier League but won their Champions League games.
Just as their league form improved, they were dumped out of the Champions League.

United climbed to the top of the league in January only to lose ground in the next month as City are firmly poised to lift the title. They did go deep in the domestic cups, only to be eliminated. However, there is still a chance for silverware in the Europa League.
Woodward looks like he trusts the manager and wants to give him the players to push for a title charge next season. Three names have been shortlisted for the summer – Erling Haaland, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane.

Haaland has become one of the hottest commodities in Europe with his performances for Borussia Dortmund. Sancho has been around for a while and established himself as one of the best young players. Varane is in a contract dispute with Real Madrid and could look to leave the club after winning all there is.

All three players have been linked with United for a while now but a transfer never materialised. However, clubs could be forced to sell some of their players next season with the pandemic affecting the economy. It will surely be very difficult to sign all three players but even if they get two of the three, United could still benefit.
