Eric Bailly issues apology to Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
According to the Metro, Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has apologised to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for his recent disrespectful behaviour.
Manchester United recently faced AC Milan in the second leg of their UEFA Europa League Round of 16 tie. Having started the first leg at Old Trafford, Bailly was left out of the second leg at San Siro. Instead, Victor Lindelof was preferred as Harry Maguire’s partner in defence.
Bailly, as per the report, did not take this decision by Solskjaer very well and had reacted out angrily when he found out he would not be playing against the Rossoneri.
However, it is now being claimed that Bailly has come to the realisation that he did not react appropriately to the situation and has since gone on to issue an apology to Manchester United boss Solskjaer.
But the report goes on to add that Bailly is still not entirely happy about his current predicament at the club and as a result, isn’t totally sold on renewing his current contract with the club.
The Ivory Coast international joined Manchester United from Villarreal in the summer of 2016. Despite showing plenty of promise, Bailly has struggled with injury and fitness issues time and again at Old Trafford.
When fit, however, he has shown that he can be a top defender. But Solskjaer continues to prefer Lindelof and Maguire over him. And Bailly, whose contract expires next year, is unhappy with the lack of game-time and will assess his options.

Manchester United are keen to keep hold of Bailly and have offered a raise on his current wages. But without the assurance of playing time, the Ivorian could be on the move. The Red Devils, in that case, are likely to demand £20m for his services.
