Manchester United ace Mason Greenwood makes it to U-21 England squad for the Euros
The full England U-21 squad has been announced for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship group stages scheduled to take place at the end of this month, and Manchester United ace Mason Greenwood has made the cut. (h/t Sky Sports)
The 19-year-old is the only Manchester United player in the 23-man squad. He is a well-established player in the senior United now and this does not come as a surprise for anyone.
Greenwood already has 37 appearances for United this season and has amassed 4 goals and 5 assists during that time. And last season, he managed double digits for goals in the league for United. (h/t Transfermarkt)
England have won the competition twice since its inception in 1978, and are yet to get their hands on the trophy since 1984. However, they did make the final of the competition in 2009.
The squad also contains stars such as Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi and Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe. The squad is just for the group stages of the competition that will be held from 24th March to 31st March.
