Bruno Fernandes in daily touch with Manchester United target Raphinha
According to Brazilian outlet UOL via Daily Express (h/t Team Talk), Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes is in constant touch with Leeds United ace Raphinha.
The Brazilian winger joined Leeds last summer and has fit in well at Elland Road. His performances have garnered the attention of United who are keen to secure his services.
The Red Devils have already enquired about the player ahead of the summer transfer window. Meanwhile in Fernandes, they have a player who is in daily touch with the winger.
Fernandes and Raphinha spent the 2018/19 season together at Sporting Lisbon where they racked up an impressive 39 goals and 23 assists combined. (h/t The Sun)
Despite their short time together, the duo has worked up a good rapport and Fernandes has an excellent opinion of the winger.
Speaking to Foot Mercato (h/t The Sun) in 2019, the United star admitted that he missed his former teammate. The midfielder described Raphinha as a person whose presence is cherished both on and off the field.
Fernandes is United’s best player and is keen to succeed with the club. He recently rejected a new deal as he reportedly sought assurances that the club can compete for the top going forward.
Securing Raphinha would be a step in the right direction. It wouldn’t just strengthen our right-wing but also prove to Fernandes that we mean business.

The player’s agent, Deco, is aware of the interest from Old Trafford and is keen to figure out the intricacies involved in making a potential switch to United.
Leeds, however, are not keen to part ways with their star wideman. Whether the transfer comes to fruition or not remains to be seen.
