Ole Gunnar Solskjaer calls for patience at Manchester United
According to the Manchester Evening News, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has called for patience from Manchester United fans who are still waiting for a first trophy in four years.
So far the Red Devils have shown promise under the Norwegian but are yet to make it count. They have lost out at the semifinals stage in four competitions while also throwing away a potential chance at winning the Premier League title.
“To make things grow you need to bless them with some patience.”
The Red Devils were top of the pack in January but have since fallen away. A win tonight will take us back to second but a loss could prove catastrophic not just for our title ambitions but maybe even in the race for the top four.
Despite the lack of glory so far, Solskjaer is content with the progress his team have shown so far. He believes there is no quick fix as United look to get back to the top.
“I’ve said so many times, we needed to make changes and rebuild.”
He also believes that the club’s playing squad is getting better with time. United have added a number of players in the recent transfer windows while also bringing through players from the academy.
“We are getting a better and a stronger squad.”
“The more time we get, the better we will become.”
Too much patience?
It is difficult to know if Solskajer would have been afforded the same time had he been in charge of any other top club. His status as a club legend would surely have aided his cause.
Bringing in stability is good, but it matters for little until it leads to something more tangible – trophies. Solskjaer has been shown enough patience and it is now time that he walks the talk.

Man City has a strong squad and a bottomless pit when it comes to investment. However, Liverpool have shown last season that they can be defeated. Given the resources at our disposal, there is no reason why we cannot do the same.
But it is time for Solskjaer to back his talk on the pitch.
