Ex-PL ace believes this Man United star can walk into the Man City team

Chris Sutton believes Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes can walk into the Manchester City team

According to Daily Mail, former England forward Chris Sutton believes Manchester United ace Bruno Fernandes can walk into this Manchester City side. Ahead of a crucial Manchester Derby, Fernandes has been a huge subject of discussion due to his form and contributions against ‘big teams’.

The Portuguese maverick has become one of United’s most important players in the 13 months he has been at the club. His ridiculous rate of scoring and assisting has made him a fan-favourite.

Yet, there have been signs that he doesn’t really do well when one of the ‘traditional big sides’ face United. However, Sutton believes that Fernandes can walk into this Man City side.

“Apparently Bruno Fernandes doesn’t turn up against the Big Six. Seven games, one goal, no assists. But Manchester United’s masterful midfielder can’t do it all on his own. Fernandes has had an Eric Cantona-esque impact on the club and is the only United player who would walk into this City team.”

Given the impact he can have, Sutton believes that is the reason more scrutiny falls on Fernandes. With Manchester United scoring just one goal against the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, City, Spurs and Liverpool, Sutton pointed out that only Fernandes scored that one. No one else stepped up.

This will be a huge test for United, this Manchester Derby. They produced a goalless draw last time but anything less than a win for Solskjaer and you can almost hand over the title to City. A 14-point gap will not be easy to cover but a win on Sunday can be a good start.
