Manchester United fans react after FA lets off Luke Shaw following his outburst against Stuart Attwell
According to Football.london, the FA has given Manchester United star Luke Shaw a clean chit following his outburst against referee Stuart Attwell on Sunday.
The left-back went on record after the match claiming he heard the official tell skipper Harry Maguire that he would not award United a penalty because it would cause “a lot of talk”
United have since released a statement claiming Shaw had ‘misheard’ the conversation. The admission does make the defender’s statements understandable if one considers it being lost in translation.
Whether this played a part in the FA’s decision remains to be seen. But it did water down the allegations made by Shaw.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer too was an unhappy man at full time both at the referee and at Chelsea for their pre-match shenanigans. Thankfully, the FA do not consider either of the comments to be in breach of their regulations and no action will be taken.
We take a look at how some fans reacted to the verdict below.

Wait a minute, which means he was right, so take some action against the ref then

Take action on Atwell, clowns.

Wonder if they suddenly realised they were right so didn’t want to make it any worse..

Not really. I believe the club asked him to say what he said. It’s called football politics 😂😂😂

This is the dictatorship of the FA regime

If they don’t take further action surely the ref must be banned for a period of time surely 🤷♂️

I think united retracted on purpose to sve face for the FA… I think some calls might go our way from here on in 😊

I suspect United might start getting decisions again. The Refs will be to scared not to now. That ref dropped them all in it. By not fining them they’ve admitted it’s true. The Klopp effect will be gone.

Shows that shaw never misheard anything and refs are out to stop United getting the correct decisions even though some managers are unhappy that united should be allowed correctly given VAR decisions. Refs are only there to enforce these decisions not pick and choose.

The fact they even considered it is stupid but it’s good they didn’t take action.
