Manchester United interest in Edvin Tellgren revealed
According to Nerikes Allehanda (h/t SportWitness), Edvin Tellgren has revealed that there has been interest from Manchester United for his signature.
Brighton are the other Premier League club interested while other names include Parma, Inter Milan, Bologna, Copenhagen, Brondby as well as a host of Swedish clubs.
Tellgren plays as a centre-back for Swedish side Karlsunds IF HFK. Still just 16 years old, he has broken into the first-team there and made 14 league appearances last season. His talent has made a whole host of European clubs register an interest in the youngster and Manchester United are one of them.
He spoke about it during an interview with a local newspaper.
“I’ve heard from Manchester United and Brighton in England. In Italy it is Parma, Inter and Bologna. ÖSK, Norrköping, Malmö, IFK Göteborg, Häcken and Sirius in Sweden and then Copenhagen and Bröndby in Denmark.
He also mentioned that there were offers from a few sides.
“First of all, there is interest, but I have contract offers from some of them. There are other offers that also attract. There are very different offers and if you go to Italy, you have to go far from home. At the same time, the conditions there are insanely good.”

While Manchester United are looking for a centre-back, interest in Tellgren could be for the future. The club are known to encourage youth and have a flourishing academy. Manchester United could be a good choice for Edvin Tellgren in case he chooses to make the switch.
