“We are cursed” – Some Man United fans have their say on the Europa League round of 16 draw

Manchester United have been handed a proper challenge by being drawn up against AC Milan in the Europa League round of 16.

Both clubs have met each other 10 times before and have so far won five games apiece. This will be their first meeting since the 2010 UEFA Champions League semifinals.

United won the home leg 3-2 courtesy of a Wayne Rooney double but was powerless to stop a 4-0 hammering at the San Siro. Hopefully, we will be able to turn the tables this time around.

The game will also see a former United favourite Zlatan Ibrahimovic return to Old Trafford. Despite being 39, he remains one of the top strikers in Italy and will give Harry Maguire a run for his money. Diogo Dalot is also currently on loan at Milan.

All in all, it is an exciting draw and has the look of a Champions League matchup. The Red Devils have not received many easy draws this season but have so far held their own.

Manchester United last won the Europa League in 2017

One will have to beat the best to be the best and by beating Milan, United will remove a major hurdle standing between themselves and the trophy.

United will be at home for the first leg, scheduled to take place on 11th March. The second leg will be away on 18th March.

It is easily the standout clash of the round. Fans took to social media to react to the draw and we take a look at what some of them had to say.
