Manchester United eye Ajax Amsterdam sensation Ryan Gravenberch to replace Paul Pogba
According to Todofichajes, Manchester United are keeping tabs on Ryan Gravenberch as a potential replacement for French superstar Paul Pogba.
The Frenchman is out of contract in 2022. This means United will need to sell him in the upcoming summer if they are serious about getting top dollar.
Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has already admitted that his client will look to leave the club at the end of the current campaign. A return to Juventus could be on the cards with the Italians heavily linked with a move.
Losing Pogba would open up a slot in the Red Devils midfield. United appear to be looking not just at the present but also the future in their search for a replacement.
This has seen them keep tabs on 18-year-old Ajax Amsterdam wonderkid Ryan Gravenberch. The youngster came through the ranks at the Dutch club and has now made a name for himself in the Ajax first-team.
Gravenberch has made 28 appearances for Ajax this season and has scored three goals and four assists so far. The fact that he has established himself as a regular at such a young age is pretty impressive. (h/t Transfermarkt)
It would be the second time in as many summers that we will be looking to bring in an Ajax midfielder. Interestingly, the Red Devils believe Gravenbercg is a bigger prospect than Donny van de Beek. (h/t Juve FC)
The youngster can be signed for a fairly decent €30m, an amount that is manageable given that Pogba can be sold for a higher fee.

The presence of Edwin van der Sar at Ajax may see us have an open line of communication. Whether that is enough to secure the deal remains to be seen.
